    Picks, Pics, & Flicks

    Nov 24th, 2009 by Malice

It’s that time of year again.  Time to assess all that we’ve got and be thankful for it all.  And this year, Analogue Transit’s got loads to be thankful for.  At the top of that list are all of you who have supported ATR through our inaugural year.  For everyone who came to a show, bought the album, or just passed on the good word to a friend of yours, we are truly thankful.

And we’d like to give you a little something in return:

If you’re a Zune user, good news!  Zune is running a special holiday promotion and the song “Home” will be featured as a “Free Song of the Day” all this week.  So log on with your device, and load up on the free stuff!

If it’s eye candy you’re into, we’d like to direct your attention to a lovely gallery put together by photographer Sixten Abbot who attended the ATR show this past Friday night at The Blackstone in Pawtucket, RI.  He came out to see another band, but liked what he heard.  Check out his awesome work here:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/amateur6/

And for a more interactive experience there’s this amazing footage from the Gallatone Records Artist Showcase this past Saturday at Webster Hall’s The Studio, shot by our good friend Warren.

    Busy little rocker bees

    Nov 16th, 2009 by Malice

The boys of ATR gear up for a busy week ahead. Now that papers have been written and projects have been handed in (Kwaku), diplomas have been earned (Jeff’s brother), and the west coast has been properly attended (Jeff), it’s time to get back into the swing of things.

This week finds ATR storming castles both at home and abroad.  On Friday, they return to Pawtucket, RI for a repeat performance at the Blackstone Club, where they’ll be playing with local favorites Route 44.  Anyone in the area should definitely come out to say hi to the guys and hear a great set of music.

Saturday, Nov. 21st,  ATR takes part in the Gallatone Records Showcase at The Studio @ Webster Hall.  If you’ll remember, “1983″ was selected for the NYU-based label’s 2009 compilation, and you’ll be able to hear that and other tracks off the band’s debut album “Gearheart.”  Buy tickets here.

Also, the boys from Analogue Transit are hosting the annual Rock ‘n Red party @ Crash Mansion

on Thursday night. Jeff and Kwaku will be on hand curating the night, which includes music from Weird Old America, The Relyx, The Shake, River City Extension, and Amber Blues.  If ever you wanted a chance to just kick it with the fellas, this would be it.  Details are here

So that’s not one, not even two, but THREE chances to come out and support the Analogue Transit mission this week.  Hope to see the friendly faces of ATR fandom in abundance.
