    New Show Dates Added

    Aug 7th, 2009 by Malice

ATR is well on their way to a full dance card as they offer more opportunities to see them live. August finds them carousing around New England and, of course, frolicking in the backyard that is New York City and home. (Haven’t heard “Home” yet? It’s on Gearheart, whose digital re-release is just a couple of weeks away. August 25, 2009 to be exact. Put it on your calendars, kittens.)

First up is this Sunday’s gig at Fontana’s, where Analogue Transit teams up Pillow Theory and Betty Black for an evening powered by the Black Rock Coalition.  The boys go on at 8:30, so get there in time to get plugged in.

Other upcoming shows find ATR in upstate New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and more.  Check the Tour Page to find a show near you.

And if they’re not coming to see you fast enough, tell us where they ought to be!  If you’ve got a local favorite place that you think would be perfect for an Analogue Transit experience, email us and let us know!

    Boston ATR Show Postponed

    May 29th, 2009 by Malice

Please note that, due to a scheduling conflict, the Analogue Transit show at The All Asia Bar in Cambridge, MA, originally scheduled for June 26, 2009, has been postponed. New dates and times will be announced when available. Check here for other opportunities to see ATR live in your area.

    ATR is for the Kids

    May 27th, 2009 by Malice

The folks here at ATR headquarters would like to wish everyone a happy unofficial summer!  It’s unofficial because the summer solstice is still several weeks away, but since we start counting at Memorial Day, we can wish away.  We hope everyone returned safely from their festivities and for those of you who have yet to sober up sufficiently to return to work – uh, good show? We think? *shrugs*

At any rate, the weather has taken a turn for the reasonably better, and kids are looking forward to the end of school and the beginning of play.  It is ATR’s sincerest wish that all kids have a safe place to do just that and, to show their commitment to the cause, ATR donated their time and considerable skills to help make Morningside Park sound as good as it looked last weekend, joining forces with the New York Junior League and volunteers from all over the city for their Playground Improvement Project.

Word from the park is ATR’s acoustic set and general good made them a hit at the event, earning them a second invitation to attend the upcoming ribbon-cutting ceremony.  We’ll keep you updated on the deets for that.  In the meantime,  watch the video below to catch a glimpse of their set, as well as the boys’ explaining why the project is important. (And to see Jeff’s new do [yes, ANOTHER new do for Jeff] and Kwaku’s awesomely kickin’ hat.)

Also, June and July are shaping up to be busy months for the boys of ATR.  Check here to find a location near you, and come out and see ATR live.

ATR is gearing up for the summer season, and three new show dates have been added to the calendar.  There are two free shows in NY and the band makes its New England debut in Cambridge, MA.  Be sure to check back often as new dates are added to find out if ATR is visiting a city near you.
