The track was chosen from more than 300 entries for the annual release, which showcases university and area artists.

The record label functions as a self-sustaining, non-profit organization, which gives students the opportunity to run a record label, express their creative voices, and share their musical interests. The 2009 compilation featuring “1983″ is the sixth release from the record label.
