    Picks, Pics, & Flicks

    Nov 24th, 2009 by Malice

It’s that time of year again.  Time to assess all that we’ve got and be thankful for it all.  And this year, Analogue Transit’s got loads to be thankful for.  At the top of that list are all of you who have supported ATR through our inaugural year.  For everyone who came to a show, bought the album, or just passed on the good word to a friend of yours, we are truly thankful.

And we’d like to give you a little something in return:

If you’re a Zune user, good news!  Zune is running a special holiday promotion and the song “Home” will be featured as a “Free Song of the Day” all this week.  So log on with your device, and load up on the free stuff!

If it’s eye candy you’re into, we’d like to direct your attention to a lovely gallery put together by photographer Sixten Abbot who attended the ATR show this past Friday night at The Blackstone in Pawtucket, RI.  He came out to see another band, but liked what he heard.  Check out his awesome work here:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/amateur6/

And for a more interactive experience there’s this amazing footage from the Gallatone Records Artist Showcase this past Saturday at Webster Hall’s The Studio, shot by our good friend Warren.

    Aug 31st, 2009 by Malice

Bold as Love, a blog dedicated to explorations of the mainstreaming of Black rock music and the evolution of the new Black imagination, stands strongly in Analogue Transit’s corner. Says BAL reviewer Earl Douglas: “Analogue Transit challenges you to go on on journey to somewhere you never been… I can assure you that after listening to Gearheart, it’s a ride worth taking.”

And now, a few words from/about Jeff

    Mar 30th, 2009 by jeff

“i had a long debate today with myself whether or not to shave… turns out, i sided with myself and shaved…”

    – Jeff Shreiner, March 27, 2009

It seems our fearless but ultra-polite boy wonder Jeff found a few minutes while working in the studio over the weekend to drop us a line.  We here at the website wait with bated breath for word(s) from the band as they audition for the newest member of the Analaogue Transit live entourage.  If you’re interested, and good with the sticks and skins, shoot us an email and we’ll get you set up.  We’ll also have updates on how the search is going this Wednesday.  I know, I know… the anticipation is killing you.  Here, munch on this while you wait, and marvel at how far our boys have come in the last year.  Or how much Jeff’s hair has grown…

In-E-Ways, what’s new in the studio?  Well, Jeff’s mixing down the album (you know, THE ALBUM) into a seamless mix for use in various places.  Last update was that the process was casuing him to hear the album (you know, THE ALBUM

In other related news, Jeff’s been rekindling his own romance with the drum kit, in hopes of reaching the level at which he sees himself playing.  Now, we here at AnTran dot com have seen the boy with his foot on the pedal, but are concerned about altitude sickness.  So we’ll make this plea one more time:  please please please be our drummer!  Must play nice with others and not have a fear of heights.
